I’m such an enormous fan of Niemann’s work, and this series is one of my favorites. Here’s all of them in one image that I made so I could have a ripoff poster: A grid of twelve illustrations, each of which is the outline of a human head and a cartoonish relationship between the mind and its container. There is a brain sitting in water in the head, a brain reaching around the head to cover the eyes, a balloon dog inside the head, a brain as the rain cloud for a thunderstorm inside the head, the brain forming a skull inside the head, the brain sitting in a dark prison of the head, the brain forming headphones/earmuffs, the head acting as a washing machine with brain and socks inside, the brain as a toilet paper roll in the head, the brain as a motorcycle helmet, the brain stuck on the face like someone who just got pied, and finally a giant eyeball inside the head.
